Lambton Ward candidate for Wellington City Council
I’m running for council because I believe we need strong candidates who are focussed on putting the needs of people first and share the values that our party stands for.
I was born and bred in the Wellington region and returned after a couple of decades away to become the Vicar of St Peter’s Church in Willis St. I have two sons, one of whom is studying in Wellington. My background is varied, including some years as a professional broadcaster.
Living and working in the central city I see every day both how vibrant and colourful our city can be and also how wide the gap has become between those who have and those who don’t. I have close links with the social service agencies around the city and know first hand the challenges they face. I believe we need a council that is listening to everyone’s voices, including those seldom listened to, and committed to making Wellington not just the coolest but also the fairest little capital in the world.
For a strong, local voice for the Lambton Ward, vote Brian Dawson for City Council
